Disney's Polynesian Resort features tropical gardens, a white-sand beach, and live entertainment, and is approximately 24 miles from Orlando International Airport. Local attractions include Disney's Magic Kingdom® Theme Park and Epcot®. Transportation to Walt Disney World® Resort areas are available by monorail, ferry, and bus.

Guests may start their day by soaking up the sun on the beach, or with a quick swim in one of the two outdoor swimming pools. The Nanea Volcano Pool features a waterslide, zero-depth entry point, and a children's wet play area. Canopy boats and mini-motorboats are available for rent in the marina. Guests may also enjoy catch-and-release fishing, a volleyball court, a jogging trail, and a video arcade. Additional amenities include a supervised kids' club, babysitting services, and a gift shop. Disney's Spirit of Aloha dinner show features Polynesian dancing, music, and a three-course feast. Other dining options include South Pacific cuisine at 'Ohana, the Asian-inspired Kona Cafe, and Captain Cook's Snack Company.
